When you walk out of your initial meeting, you should do so with a sense of what the scope of the project is going to look like, as well as a clear idea of what the next steps are. If you are soliciting bids from multiple design firms, you should now have a framework to follow so that additional meetings and vendor bids can be compared on an "apples to apples" basis.
Following the initial meeting with a new customer, Yalia goes back to our office in Nederland and drafts up a proposal based on our understanding of your requirements for the project. The proposal generally consists of the following:
- Outline of initial Scope of Work
- Itemized Quote, based on proposed scope of work
At Yalia, we provide quotes that are itemized and detailed in such a way that you see exactly what you are paying for, and the standard hourly rates that apply. We do this so that you can see the associated cost with each component of the project and also so that you can easily compare this with other vendor quotes. Since our quotes are "menu-style", clients can select exactly the components that they wish to include in the project, rather than being locked in to a "one price fits all" quote. This also allows clients to compare pricing for individual items, for example, search engine submission or hosting, so that they know they are getting the best value for their money.
